Autonomous mobile robots need to navigate and avoid obstacles and dangerous situations in unstructured, unmapped places and in harsh conditions-indoors and outdoors. When the robots are partnered with humans, they should also be able to recognize threats and dangers to their partners and provide warnings and guidance.
